Personal Life of Faf du Plessis
Francois du Plessis was born in July 1984 at Pretoria, South Africa. He is the son of Charl du Plessis who plays as a South African rugby player. He is also the cousin of Namibian rugby athlete Marcel du Plessis.
Francois was currently married to his longtime girlfriend, Imari Visser. Additionally, his sister was the spouse of a fellow South African cricket player, Hardus Viljoen.
Domestic Career
Faf debuted in domestic cricket when he played for the Northerns where he made a score of 8385 runs for the 142 First Class Cricket. For the First Class matches, he has scored 17 centuries and 52 half centuries. Meanwhile, he scored 21 centuries for the List A cricket but that will change in the IPL 2025.

Club Career

Prior to his outing at the IPL, Faf played in country cricket in 2008 for the Lancashire team. However, his stint did not last because of the sudden change in statutes and his contract ended in 2010. He also played for the Navy Patriots and St Kitts in the Carribean Premier League.
He began his career in the Indian Premier League in 2011 where he played for the Chennai Super Kings. He also represented the franchise in the 2012 edition of the IPL where he scored 398 runs. He will play for the Delhi Capitals in the IPL 2025.
International Career

There was a deeper reason why Faf did not went to England to represent Kolpak because instead it earned him a golden ticket to play at the 2011 ICC World Cup in India. When his teammate AB de Villiers retired, he took over the captaincy of his South African team. He debuted as the captain in the South Africa match against the New Zealand cricket team. As a result, Faf scored at least 380 runs in the competition, only second to his teammate. In the 2019 season of the tournament, Faf lead South Africa but the Proteas was only able to win three out of their nine games.
